Ex-Lazio Forward Perea: “I’ll Never Forget the Biancocelesti Fans, They’re Unique”

Former Lazio forward Brayan Perea discussed his time with the club, the last time the Biancocelesti played Parma in the Coppa Italia and the recent derby win against Roma in an interview on Lazio’s official app (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

I remember that match very well, it was January 2014. Thanks to my two goals we got to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. I scored the second goal in the dying minutes, it was very exciting, a fantastic night.

Was it my best goal? Definitely one of the ones I remember with most pleasure, although I’ve been lucky enough to experience other important moments, like the goals in the Europa League and the one in Serie A.

The 27-year-old Colombian forward then touched on if he still follows the Biancocelesti and last week’s 3-0 derby win over the Giallorossi.

Do I still follow Lazio? Of course, I always will. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as I hoped in Rome, but the club will always remain in my heart.

I saw the 3-0 win last Friday in the derby, I’m happy for the team, winning it is always special. I’m not in touch with anyone from Inzaghi’s current team, no, but I talk to Felipe Anderson every now and then.

Finally, Perea spoke about his time at Palm Beach Stars in America and his future.

I spent two months in America at Palm Beach, where I enjoyed myself very much. Now I’m looking for a new team to start 2021 in the best possible way.

However, I would like to take this opportunity to say one thing. I want to send a big hug to all the Lazio fans, who are unique. I’ll never forget them.

Perea spent five years at Lazio from 2013 to 2018, but failed to establish himself in the first time and went away on three separate loan spells.

He made 33 appearances for the Biancocelesti in that time, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
