Formello: Lazio’s Correa & Fares Return to Squad Training After Injury Battles

Lazio’s Joaquin Correa and Mohamed Fares trained regularly with the squad today in Formello, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the Argentine forward and Algerian wing back were both out injured and missed the derby against Roma last week, although Correa was present on the bench.

The duo could be fit enough to start against Parma in the Coppa Italia on Thursday, the report continues.

Danilo Cataldi, Luiz Felipe and Felipe Caicedo were all absent from training due to various injuries.

Coach Simone Inzaghi will now begin preparing for the upcoming cup fixture, deciding which players to deploy and which to rest, with Italian star Ciro Immobile possibly beginning Thursday’s match on the bench.

Senad Lulic is also nearing a return to the pitch, being called up for the first time in almost a year to join the Biancocelesti as they thrashed intercity rivals Roma on Friday last week.
