Lazio are working on renewing sporting director Igli Tare’s contract, according to a report from Roman newspaper Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato.com) earlier today.
The report details how Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito has all but reached a contract renewal agreement with coach Simone Inzaghi, after months of uncertainty, and is now prepared to offer a new contract to the 47-year-old Albanian sporting director as well.
An agreement between Tare and Lotito is almost fully complete, that will tie him to the club until next year, the report continues.
After the 1-1 draw with Genoa earlier this campaign, the relationship between Tare and Lotito was tense, but Friday’s 3-0 derby win over intercity rivals Roma has clearly solved the issues.
Tare has been the sporting director of Lazio since 2008, after his retirement as a player.
Lazio are also working on renewing the contracts of many of the squad, like Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe.
