Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is thinking about starting Vedat Muriqi and Andreas Pereira together up front in Thursday’s Coppa Italia clash against Parma, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 44-year-old Italian coach began tactical training sessions ahead of Thursday’s cup match against the Emilian side, who are currently 19th in Serie A.
The 44-year-old Italian coach is planning to rotate the squad as much as possible, in order to give rest to some of the key players.
In defense, Marco Parolo may start in place on Patric. The Italian midfielder was tested in that role this morning. Wesley Hoedt lined up in the middle and Francesco Acerbi on the left, to complete the defense.
Either Manuel Lazzari or Adam Marusic will started as the right wing back, with Mohamed Fares set to return to the starting 11 on the opposite wing.
In the midfield will be Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Luis Alberto or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Gonzalo Escalante, with Muriqi and Pereira up front.
Tomorrow afternoon will be the final pre-match training session where Inzaghi will finalise his starting 11.
