Former Italian Manager Fascetti: “It is Difficult to Play Against Lazio Now”

One could argue that Lazio is currently in the best form of its Serie A campaign so far. The Biancocelesti has won three league games in a row for the first time this season and is coming off of a statement win against AS Roma.

Former Italian manager Eugenio Fascetti is very much impressed with Lazio’s recent performances, including with the showing against its biggest rivals.

Fascetti provided his thoughts to the Italian-based outlet Cittaceleste on the Rome Derby and on how this Lazio side is not one that many would like to face at the moment.

There was no match, Roma surrendered.  In my opinion, it is difficult to play against Lazio now. We must not leave them all those spaces, especially to players like Lazzari.

Lazio played how they wanted to play, Roma understood little. Now we play vertically, the tick-tock is over. I don’t understand this new way of playing, if they don’t come to press me I do what I want.

Lazio’s strong form has come at the right time, especially as it has several key league matches upcoming. For one, the Biancocelesti will soon have a league showdown against Atalanta. A win for Simone Inzaghi’s side could leapfrog them over Atalanta in the Serie A table.
