Lazio defender Luiz Felipe has flown to Germany to undergo medical tests, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.
The report details how the 23-year-old Brazilian has flown to Germany to carry out tests that were initially scheduled for earlier this month, but were postponed due to the many close important matches in that period.
Luiz Felipe’s test results will show whether he needs to begin a treatment cycle or if he’ll be able to rest a little before returning regularly.
The 23-year-old defender will certainly miss Thursday’s Coppa Italia clash against Parma and is also likely to miss this Sunday’s Serie A clash against Sassuolo.
The Lazio man has been suffering from a slight ankle issue since the start of the season that forced him to miss seven games in the league.
Luiz Felipe has made 14 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 927 minutes. In that time, he’s provided one assist and helped the side keep three clean sheets.
