Lazio Midfielder Djavan Anderson Declines Loan Offer From Crotone

Lazio midfielder Djavan Anderson has rejected Crotone’s loan offer and is now assessing his future, according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 25-year-old Dutch midfielder was barely needed by coach Simone Inzaghi this campaign, and so was taken off the Serie A squad registration list in order to make space for club captain Senad Lulic, after his recovery from a serious ankle injury.

Anderson, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2023, received a loan offer from fellow Serie A side Crotone, and even spoke to Giovanni Stroppa, but he was not convinced and rejected the offer.

The 25-year-old former Bari man is now assessing his future, but it is clear that he will not find any playing time in Rome.

He made three appearances this season, for a total of 70 minutes. Last campaign he played seven times, and also did not impress in that time.
