Lazio Midfielder Luis Alberto Underwent Emergency Surgery on Tuesday

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday for emergency surgery, the club announced on its official website.

The Lazio talent was taken to the Clinica Paideia in Rome for an emergency appendectomy. The report notes that the surgery was successful but that the midfielder will remain in the hospital for the time being before returning home.

TuttoMercatoWeb adds Alberto will miss at least seven to 10 days of action. This will keep him out of the Biancocelesti’s upcoming fixtures against Parma in the Coppa Italia and Sassuolo in a critical Serie A clash.

The Lazio playmaker is just coming off of a grand performance where he scored two pivotal goals in the Rome Derby against AS Roma.

Simone Inzaghi’s side will surely miss him on the pitch over the team’s upcoming key matches, but the good news for the Biancocelesti is that all went well for Alberto in his emergency operation.
