Former Italian Forward Cassano Believes That Lazio Could Have Scored Six Goals in the Recent Rome Derby

Lazio was the clear dominant force in the recent edition of the Rome Derby. The Biancocelesti scored a trio of goals and recorded eight shots on target, while Rome was held off of the scoresheet with a mere one total shot on target logged.

Former Italian forward Antonio Cassano was impressed with the onslaught from the Biancocelesti. He notes that the final 3-0 score was not entirely indicative of the match itself. Cassano strongly believes that Lazio could have added more goals that would have made it one of the most lopsided Rome Derby results in the history of the rivalry fixture.

Cassano spoke about the performance from Lazio, with comments being relayed by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Lazio could have scored six goals. The thing that impresses me, and this is due to the coach, is the variety of game. They can play as they want.

With restarts, technically with Milinkovic and Luis Alberto between the lines, physically with Caicedo. Immobile moves very well in-depth like no other in Italy. They all run. In defense, they are compact.

Lazio now will have a pair of upcoming games over the week, which will include the Coppa Italia match against Parma.
