Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto will be forced to remain on the sidelines for at least a week after recovering from his emergency appendix removal, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.
The report details how the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday evening after feeling extreme pain in his torso.

The former Liverpool man successfully had his appendix removed and has now been discharged from the Paideia clinic in Rome, reading to continue his recovery.
Luis Alberto will need to rest for at least a week, although his recovery could take up to 10 days. He will miss the club’s upcoming games against Parma and Sassuolo, and could even miss the match against Atalanta at the end of the month.
The goal is to have Luis Alberto fully fit by the 7th February, when the Biancocelesti take on Cagliari. His condition will be monitored on a daily basis.
