Lazio’s Senad Lulic made a grand effort over the past year to return from injury.
Lulic had been out due to an ankle injury and since then, he had worked to rehab and recover from this long-term injury. But finally, all the work paid off during the team’s Coppa Italia fixture against Parma.
After finally being cleared to return to action, Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi elected to bring on Lulic for playing time during the second half of its knockout stage clash against Parma.
Lulic only had nine touches over his 19 minutes on the pitch. He went on to complete six passes in the match.
With Lulic back in the fold for Lazio, he should provide Inzaghi with another quality depth option off of the bench.
Lulic’s return certainly has come at the right time, especially as the team heads towards a hefty congestion of fixtures with matches in three different competitions.
