Over the opening stages of the first half, Lazio continued to create high percentage goal-scoring chances but fell short each time.

But finally, the Biancocelesti took the lead through Marco Parolo.

The Italian defender was unmarked as he delivered a header that Parma goalkeeper Simone Colombi simply had no chance at saving.

This was also the first assist of the season for Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira.
