Lazio’s Mohamed Fares Visited Paideia Clinic Today, Reason Currently Unknown

Lazio wing back Mohamed Fares visited the Paideia medical clinic today to carry out some medical tests, according to an official tweet by the Biancocelesti earlier today.

The 24-year-old Algerian wing back, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, had been suffering from a tear in his abductor muscle, but had seemingly recovered and played 71 minutes against Parma in the Coppa Italia win yesterday.

Fares is back in the medical clinic today, and the reason is currently unknown, although it could be a simple checkup after the match.

Whether or not he’ll feature against Sassuolo on Sunday is now unclear, and further developments are expected.

The 24-year-old Fares, who signed from SPAL in the summer transfer window, has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 790 minutes.

In that time, he has provided one assist.
