Lazio defender Luiz Felipe has successfully undergone surgery on his right ankle, as seen on a post on his Instagram page earlier today.
The 23-year-old Brazilian defender, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2022, decided to carry out the operation after medical tests earlier this week in Germany.
The player has a right ankle issue which has been plaguing him since the start of the season, which should be hopefully resolved now. His estimated return is around 60-70 days, in late March or early April.
Luiz Felipe posted a photo of himself in hospital alongside the caption:
Hi guys! As many of you may know, I had surgery on my right ankle today. You all flooded me with messages of affection and made me feel like part of a big family!
I wanted to reassure you that the operation was necessary and went well, I feel good and can’t wait to get back on the pitch. I’ll be back soon, I promise. A big hug to everyone.
