Lazio are linked with Bayern Munich’s Lukas Mai and Real Betis’ Aissa Mandi, as they look to sign a new defender before the transfer window closes next week, according to a report from Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.
The report details how there is talk in Germany that the Biancocelesti have contacted Bayern Munich over a deal for the 20-year-old German defender Lars Lukas Mai, who is currently on loan with 2 Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt 98.
He has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1643 minutes. He has provided two assists and helped the side keep four clean sheets in that time.
The other player Lazio are interested in is Real Betis’ 29-year-old Algerian defender Aissa Mandi, who is contracted to the Spanish club until the end of the season.
He is not looking to renew his contract with the Spanish side and could be a low-cost option this month.
