Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic added to his collection of impressive performances this season with a strong showing in the Serie A fixture against Sassuolo.

Milinkovic-Savic scored the early game-tying goal in the match to knot the fixture up at a 1-1 score. Over the remainder of the match, the Serbian midfielder continued to exert his presence in both the attack and defense.

It was a box-to-box midfield clinic of a performance from the Lazio talent.

There are not many midfielders in the world today that are capable of chipping in for four goal-scoring chances created and three tackles in one match alone. But this is what manager Simone Inzaghi can now regularly expect from his workhorse midfielder.

Overall, Milinkovic-Savic has now logged nine-goal contributions in league play this season with four goals and five assists. He is also averaging 7.7 ground duels won per game in Serie A so far this season.

Expected more of these kinds of performances from Milinkovic-Savic over the remainder of this season.
