The report details how the 30-year-old Argentine defender, who is contracted to the Rossoneri until the end of the season, was offered to the Roman club as they are looking to bolster their defensive line, following on from the injury to Luiz Felipe.

Musacchio was immediately enthusiastic about the chance to play for Lazio and put aside all other offers with his agent Marcelo Lombilla, the report continues.

The terms of the deal still need to be agreed upon, but there is talk of a two-year contract for the 30-year-old, who could arrive in Rome this evening.

AC Milan would like around €2.5 million for his signature, whilst the Biancocelesti are looking to sign him on a free transfer.
