2AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio will sign a six-month contract with Lazio and is expected to undergo his medicals tomorrow, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti have been looking to sign a new defender in this month’s transfer window, after the surgery required by Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe, who is not expected to recover for at least two months.

The 30-year-old Musacchio, whose contract expires with the Rossoneri at the end of the season, will be the Roman club’s low-cost option.

The Argentinian defender will sign a six-month contract with the club, with an option for another two years linked to appearances and other objectives.

He is expected to arrive in the Italian capital this evening and will undergo his medicals tomorrow.

Musacchio made 18 appearances across all competitions last season for AC Milan, for a total of 1466 minutes.
