Lazio have officially announced that they have signed AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio in a post on their Twitter page earlier today.

The Biancocelesti signed the 30-year-old Argentinian defender, who previously spent three-and-a-half years with AC Milan, on a six-month deal with an option for two further years attached to appearances and other objectives.

Musacchio made 75 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring two goals and providing two assists in that time.

He will provide short-term cover for the injured Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe, who is currently recovering from ankle surgery and is not expected to return for at least two months.
