Formello: Lazio’s Luis Alberto Returns to Squad Training After Recovering From Surgery

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto returned to squad training today in Formello, completing the session successfully, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2025, has successfully recovered from his emergency appendix removal.

He was regularly involved in today’s training session and completed all training exercises, including the closing match, meaning that he should be available for this weekend’s Serie A clash with Atalanta.

New signing Mateo Musacchio was also present at Formello and completed today’s training session as well.

The players who started in Bergamo last night remained inside the gym, whilst the rest returned to the pitch.

Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva, who was suspended for yesterday’s Coppa Italia loss, will return to the starting 11 on the weekend, alongside Joaquin Correa and Ciro Immobile.

Tactical training sessions will begin tomorrow.
