Lazio defender Mateo Musacchio has officially taken Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe’s spot in the Serie A squad registration list, as seen on Lega Serie A’s official website.
The 30-year-old Argentinian defender, who joined from fellow Italian side AC Milan earlier this week, has signed a six-month contract with the Roman club, with an option for a further two years linked to appearances and other objectives.
He was brought in as a short-term replacement for the injured Luiz Felipe, who is currently recovering from serious ankle surgery.

The 23-year-old Brazilian is not expected to return until the end of March or the start of April, forcing the Biancocelesti to find a reinforcement.
Musacchio could now start against Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta on Sunday.
The former AC Milan man has made only two appearances across all competitions this season for the Rossoneri, for a total of 95 minutes.
Last campaign, he was more present and made 18 league appearances.
