Lazio was heading into the matchup against Atalanta BC with the goal of securing all three points to leap over La Dea in the Serie A standings.
After an early strike from outside the box from Adam Marušić which gave the Biancocelesti a 1-0 lead, Joaquin Correa has given Lazio some insurance, as he sprinted on the breakaway and eventually beat the Atalanta goalkeeper one on one to make the score 2-0.
There’s plenty of time for Lazio to add further security as they hope to walk away with a victory away at the Gewiss Stadium.
