La Liga Side Huesca Interested in Transfer Deadline Day Move for Lazio’s Vavro

La Liga side Huesca are interested in signing Lazio defender Denis Vavro today, before the transfer window closes, according to a report from Italian media outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.com earlier today.

The report details how the 24-year-old Slovakian defender, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, was close to a move to fellow Italian side Genoa at the start of the month, but a deal fell through due to a failed medical.

He has barely featured under coach Simone Inzaghi this campaign in Rome, making only two appearances for a total of 32 minutes.

Vavro has been excluded from Lazio’s Serie A squad registration list and is clearly unwanted by Inzaghi, and so the Roman club will now work to close out a deal with Huesca, who are currently bottom of La Liga, ahead of the closure of the transfer window.

Spain’s transfer window closes at midnight local time, giving the Biancocelesti some time to iron out the details.
