Lazio have agreed a mutual contract termination with third choice goalkeeper Silvio Proto, as announced in an official statement last night.

The 37-year-old Belgian shot stopper joined the Roman club from Greek side Olympiacos in 2018, but always played a backup role to Thomas Strakosha.

In his two and a half seasons with the club, Proto made nine appearances across all competitions, for a total of 810 minutes. In that time, he conceded 15 goals and kept two clean sheets.

He won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italian with the Biancocelesti and will now be free to choose his next club.
