Lazio addressed one of its main transfer needs over the now recent winter window when it signed defender Mateo Musacchio from AC Milan on a permanent transfer deal.
Musacchio already made his Lazio debut in the team’s recent Serie A fixture against Atalanta. The Italian defender came off the bench and supplied for a formidable showing in his first appearance with the team.
Former Italian forward Bruno Giordano believes that with Musacchio’s experience, it will go on to be much needed for the Biancocelesti. Musacchio has featured in both La Liga and Serie A before, so he comes in with a hefty number of games played against some of the top attacking units in the continent.
Giordano spoke to the Italian-based station TuttoMercatoWeb Radio (via Cittaceleste) where he made mention that Musacchio was a “targeted purchase” for the Biancocelesti and then touched upon his experience.
Musacchio with experience can give a lot to the Biancocelesti.
It sure will be interesting to see just how Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi plans to utilize Musacchio moving forward.
