Alessandra Mussolini, granddaughter of former fascist dictator Benito Mussolini and mother of Lazio Primavera right back Romano Floriani, discussed her son’s arrival in the Biancocelesti youth squad in an interview with Italian news outlet Adnkronos yesterday.

There’s nothing to comment on, it’s a subject I prefer to stay out of. My son doesn’t want any kind of interference in his life or his affairs.
Caio Giulio Cesare Mussolini, Alessandra’s second cousin, also commented on Floriani’s arrival in the Primavera squad, saying:
Since he plays for the first team of the Capital, he can put ‘Romano’ on his shirt. But it would change little or nothing.
With all the problems we have as a country, it seems absurd to discuss these things. As a Lazio fan, I hope Romano is really good and that he has a long and brilliant career.

The 18-year-old right back has joined the Primavera squad after impressing with the Under-17 and Under-18 squads.
