Ex-Coach Dino Zoff: “Lazio’s Win Against Atalanta Didn’t Surprise Me At All”

Former Lazio coach Dino Zoff discussed the Biancocelesti’s 3-1 win over Atalanta last weekend and the upcoming match against Cagliari in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

Lazio’s win in Bergamo didn’t surprise me at all. There were already some signs in the Coppa Italia and when Inzaghi’s team plays like that it’s hard for everyone.

Now I want to see how the match against Cagliari goes, it could be a tricky one. I want to see how Lazio can give consistency to this important moment.

In the derby I wasn’t worried, the absence of the crowd made it possible for the values to come out.

Lazio’s upcoming opponents in Sunday’s fixture, Cagliari, currently sit 18th in the Serie A table after 20 games, with 15 points.

The Rossoblu have not won a game since their 2-0 win over Sampdoria on the 7th November, and only picked up one point in their last five outings.
