Formello: Lazio’s Milinkovic-Savic Trained Separately but Will Start Against Cagliari

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi will start tactical preparations for Sunday’s league clash against Cagliari tomorrow at the training ground in Formello, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how today’s training session was held in the afternoon in Formello, with Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic training separately.

The 25-year-old has been forced to work overtime recently due to the emergency appendix removal suffered by teammate Luis Alberto, lowering Inzaghi’s rotation options.

Despite training individually, Milinkovic-Savic is still expected to start against Cagliari on Sunday.

Danilo Cataldi also trained individually today and is hoping to return in time for the fixture against the Rossoblu.

Stefan Radu was absent from today’s training session, despite training regularly with the squad yesterday.

Tactical preparations for Sunday’s match start tomorrow, with Mateo Musacchio set to start in place of the suspended Patric.

The rest of the starting 11 will be the same as the one that beat Atalanta last weekend.
