Lazio have identified Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin as a possible target for the future, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.
Trubin, who is contracted to Shakhtar Donetsk until 2024, has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign, including five of the club’s six Champions League matches.
The report states how the Biancocelesti have been impressed with the 19-year-old Ukrainian shot stopper’s performances so far this season; the Ukrainian teenager managed to keep a clean sheet against Inter across both legs as well as against Real Madrid in the 2-0 win back in December.
So far there haven’t been any negotiations between the parties, but Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is said to be keeping a close eye on Trubin, was who was announced as Shakhtar’s best player in 2020.
