Lazio President Lotito Had Lunch With Coach Inzaghi at Formello Yesterday

Lazio president Claudio Lotito had lunch with Simone Inzaghi yesterday and the pair discussed the coach’s contract renewal again, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the Biancocelesti president visited the squad at the training ground in Formello yesterday, having lunch at the sports centre together with the 44-year-old Italian coach.

The entire Lazio squad gave a warm welcome to Lotito, greeting him with a round of applause as a thank you for successfully paying February and March’s wages.

After a brief talk with the squad, Lotito sat with Inzaghi to eat and discuss his contract renewal once again. It was not a decisive talk, but the deal is expected to be signed any day now.

A three-year contract worth €2.5 million net per season, which could rise to almost €3 million with Champions League qualification, has been prepared and the last details are now being ironed out.

The last details relate to higher wages for Inzaghi’s backroom staff, a key point for the coach, and a signature is expected soon.
