“Lotito Has Made Me an Offer” – Simone Inzaghi Provides an Update Regarding His Contract Extension With Lazio

The ongoing contract discussions between Lazio and manager Simone Inzaghi continue to be a side story in the Biancocelesti 2020-21 campaign. Despite the Italian tactician’s contract ending at the season, both sides seem optimistic about reaching a deal. 

After Lazio’s 1-0 win over Cagliari Calcio, Inzaghi spoke with the media, where Corriere dello Sport his comments. One question that he answered was over his contract extension talks with the club. 

Furthermore, the 44-year-old revealed that he received a contract offer from the Biancocelesti three days. Inzaghi didn’t elaborate more on the issue but stated that he’s at a good point with the club. 

There is a contract; Claudio Lotito has made me an offer. I read it calmly last night after it was delivered to me three days ago.

There is harmony. We are well underway concering my extension; in my opinion, we are at a good point.

Lazio got off to a difficult start as they tried to balance playing in UEFA Champions League football and Serie A competition. Nonetheless, they have seemed to figure out the balance as Lazio qualified for the knockout stages and now find themselves knocking on the doors of a top-four position in the Serie A table.
