On a rainy Sunday night, Lazio was able to come away with three points, but they weren’t easy by any means. Nonetheless, the Biancocelesti came out with a 1-0 victory against Cagliari.

Lazio did have some scoring chances in the first half but could not find the back of the net. As a result, both sides couldn’t find the fixture’s first goal after 45 minutes as they entered half time.

It took 60 minutes, but Biancocelesti striker Ciro Immobile found the back of the net to give Lazio the 1-0 lead. The Rome-based side held on to secure three points in a hard-fought fixture, with the elements playing a factor.

On Twitter, Italian football journalist Riccardo Cucchi provided his insight where he stated that the win didn’t come easy for Lazio and applauded Cagliari for their defending despite the loss.

It was not an easy game for Lazio.

Cagliari defended well and with determination, closing every space.

Immobile’s goal was very precious; three points were important.

The Biancocelesti now sit in fourth place with 40 points; on a six-match consecutive winning streak in Serie A, Simone Inzaghi’s side heads to the San Siro next weekend for a duel with Inter Milan.
