Lazio Women’s Morace: “We Dropped Two Points & Learnt a Lesson, Which Is Fine”

Lazio Women coach Carolina Morace commented on the Biancocelesti’s painful 1-1 draw against Lady Granata Cittadella yesterday in a post on her Instagram page this morning.

The Biancocelesti took the lead and were ahead of most of the second half, until Cittadella found an equaliser in the dying minutes of the match, to end the game 1-1, leaving a bitter taste in the Lazio players’ mouths.

Morace looked at the glass half when commenting on the match this morning, saying:

Winning is never easy, even more so when you play away from home against a good opponent. To concede a late equaliser always leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but it happens in football.

We ‘lost’ two points and learnt a lesson, which is fine. Let’s restart from our certainties and work on our defects, without haste. The results will come, I’m convinced.

Lazio Women currently sit 5th in Serie B after 13 games, sitting on 22 points, eight behind league leaders Pomigliano.
