On the heels of winning the Serie A player of the month award for January, Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had yet another superb all-around performance for the side.
In Lazio’s Serie A fixture against Cagliari, Milinkovic-Savic earned the start for the Biancocelesti and put together a dominant performance.
As noted by the Twitter account Lazio Page, the Serbian midfielder created three goal-scoring opportunities for teammates in the match, which included the assist to Ciro Immobile in the second half. He is now averaging 1.3 key passes per game over in league play this season.
Milinkovic-Savic was also once again a menace for opposing midfielders and defenders. He recorded an impressive 10 aerial duels won in the match, which is a new season-high for him in the ongoing campaign. This now brings up his average in this stat to a 3.9 figure, which is up from last season’s number when he logged 3.5 ground duels won per game.
Milinkovic-Savic simply continues to shine for Lazio this season.
