Lazio Coach Inzaghi to Start Either Patric or Musacchio Against Inter on Sunday

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is unsure whether to start Spanish defender Patric or new signing Mateo Musacchio against Inter on Sunday this week, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 44-year-old Italian coach has to decide whether to start Patric, a more technical player who already understands the movements and patterns of the Roman club’s three-man defense, or Musacchio, who is more of a traditional defender but does not fully understand the system yet.

Inzaghi has a few days to decide, as tactical training sessions will not start in Formello until either Thursday or Friday, meaning the starting spot is up for grabs.

The other two defenders will be Italian Francesco Acerbi and Romanian Stefan Radu, two players who have impressed in the Biancocelesti defense this campaign.

The Lazio coach’s choice will need to be the right one, as the Biancocelesti will be looking to stop the best attack in Serie A, as Inter have already scored 51 goals in 21 games.
