Lazio is showing an early interest in Dutch and Bologna midfielder Jerdy Schouten, according to a report from Solo Lazio’s Enrico De Lellis.
The rumored report simply notes that Lazio has been closely following the Dutch talent. It remains to be seen whether the club may be interested in seriously pursuing a possible transfer deal for the talent over the upcoming summer transfer window.
Schouten has established himself as a regular starter with Bologna in just his second season with the club. He has totaled for 20 appearances in all competitions so far this season with starts against the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.
Schouten regularly showcases his versatility as a midfielder with playing time minutes being alternated as a base and central defensive midfielder. Overall, he is averaging team-highs in successful dribbles per game (1.5) and interceptions per game (2.3) in league play this season.
The Dutch talent is currently tied to a contract with Bologna for three more seasons.
