Former Lazio forward Renzo Garlaschelli discussed the Biancocelesti’s current form, their upcoming match against Inter and the league table in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

It will be an entertaining challenge against the Nerazzurri. Inter are not in a great moment but they were built to win the Scudetto.

Lazio are doing well and must try not to lose to stay in the slipstream of the top teams in the table.

Technically the Biancocelesti have something more than the Nerazzurri in midfield, who perhaps have a more solid defense.

He touched on any memorable goals of his against the Nerazzurri from his career.

I remember a beautiful one scored at the San Siro, unfortunately in a 3-1 defeat, but we won the Scudetto that year.

The 71-year-old Italian spoke about the two squads.

If I could, I wouldn’t trade any player between Lazio and Inter. Conte’s side don’t play a great game, they have important players but the Biancocelesti are no less so.

Barella or Milinkovic-Savic? Barella is doing well but the Serbian is a complete player who can do everything. Inzaghi’s guys will be able to play their best on Sunday.

The former Lazio forward touched on the league table and star forward Ciro Immobile.

Lazio can easily fight for fourth place. Milan are proving to be a great team and can aim for the title, as can Inter despite not being too enthusiastic.

Immobile? He’s a complete striker who has improved a lot over the years.

Finally, Garlaschelli spoke about Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva.

Maybe he’s back to his level but the team revolves around 11/12 players and if there are defections or injuries the squad loses some value.

It won’t be easy to replace a player like Leiva because of the fundamental role he plays on the pitch.
