Former Italian defender Giuseppe Pancaro has seen enough from Lazio as of late to now say that this team has the potential to go up against any side in the continent.
Lazio has picked up form as of late thanks to its six-match winning streak in Serie A play, which includes wins against the likes of AS Roma and Atalanta.
As a former Lazio player himself, Pancaro has been impressed with the team’s recent play and notes that this side has what it takes to compete with any other side in Europe, which is a grand compliment.
Pancaro spoke to Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) about Lazio and its two massive upcoming fixtures against Inter Milan in league play and FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage.
I like this Lazio a lot. The next match against Inter will be an important junction to understand how far Lazio can go. I have the feeling that they can also have their say in the fight for the title, just as I think Bayern Munich must be careful.
