Lazio Defender Francesco Acerbi To Sign Contract Renewal At The End Of The Season

Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi will sign a new contract with the Biancocelesti at the end of the season, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 33-year-old Italian defender, who is currently contracted to the Roman club until 2023, is a fundamental part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s side, being one of the strongest defenders in the league currently.

Lazio have only conceded four goals since the start of the year, winning six of their seven last matches, in which Acerbi played every available minute.

The 33-year-old Acerbi will play a vital role against Inter on Sunday night, as he looks to neutralize Nerazzurri star forward Romelu Lukaku, who has already scored 14 goals in the league this campaign.

Acerbi will sign a new contract with Lazio at the end of the season, with an agreement between the club and player already in place.
