Lazio technical director Robert De Cosmi discussed the upcoming Serie A match against Inter on Sunday evening when speaking with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.
When we’re all here, we’re a very important team. And we are regardless, compared to the past we have a deep squad. Milinkovic-Savic represents, along with other elements, the strength and attitude, the mentality of this squad.
I expect us to go to Milan and play openly, on equal terms. We’ll need to be the best Lazio team, but I’m sure we’ll play a great game, we have the necessary weapons.
Luis Alberto is a unique player, especially in the interpretation of his role. There will certainly be a lot of tactical and technical dictates to ensure that this match can be handled in the best possible way.
He highlighted the many duels that’ll take place in the match.
Our quality in midfield is particularly important. Immobile will make the difference, he will be able to find the right spaces.
We’ll go there well-equipped, knowing that we’ll be able to face the match in the best possible way. There will be important duels on the flanks.
Marusic is having the best season he’s had since joining Lazio. Against Hakimi there will really be a running war.
Finally, De Cosmi touched on if he would start Patric or Mateo Musacchio against the Nerazzurri.
I’d say Patric. Musacchio fit in well straight away, but right now against Inter I’d prefer to see the Spaniard. I’m sure Acerbi will put in his usual magnificent performance.
