Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is among the 10 active coaches with the most time spent in charge of the same club, according to a report from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today.

The report details how the 44-year-old Italian coach has been in charge of the Biancocelesti squad since 2016, and is expected to sign a three-year contract renewal over the coming days.

Should Inzaghi sign the deal, it would see him stay at Lazio for eight consecutive years in total, matching the Italian record set by Carlo Ancelotti with AC Milan from 2001 to 2009.

In Europe, Inzaghi is already among the 10 active coaches with the greatest number of seasons at the same club, with Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini being the only other Italian on the list.

The list is led by Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, who has been in charge of the Spanish club since 2011.
