Bayern’s Gnabry May Miss Champions League Clash Against Lazio Through Injury

Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry may miss the German side’s upcoming Champions League clash against Lazio due to a muscle injury, according to an official announcement by the Bavarian side.

The 25-year-old German forward, who is contracted to Bayern until 2023, tore a muscle in his left thigh in yesterday’s Club World Cup final yesterday against Mexican side Tigres, which was won 1-0 by the German side.

It is likely now that Gnabry will miss Bayern’s upcoming Champions League Round of 16 match against Lazio on the 23rd February.

The former Arsenal man has made 28 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Bundesliga side, for a total of 1887 minutes. In that time, he has scored six goals and provided four assists.

Gnabry became a household name last season after scoring four goals against Premier League side Tottenham in the Champions League back in October of 2019.
