Report: Agreement Reached Between Lazio and Simone Inzaghi; Coaching Staff Contracts All That Remain

The contract discussions between Lazio and manager Simone Inzaghi continue to be a side story as the Biancocelesti venture back into the UEFA Champions League and look to finish once again in the top four.

Despite the Italian tactician not putting pen to paper and extending his stay, it’s only a matter of time before Lazio prolongs Inzaghi’s tenure as manager.

According to Tuttosportthe decision to have the 44-year-old remain at the helm of Lazio is a done deal. The contract length and salary are all agreed to; the Italian media outlet states that the agreement is a three-year contract until 2023 with an option for 2024. Furthermore, the extension will see Inzaghi earn an annual salary of €3 million; all that’s left is for the Biancocelesti to reach extensions with his coaching staff.

Tuttosport reports that Inzaghi considers his staff an integral part of the Lazio project and that they deserve equal treatment by the club. Once Lazio wraps up extending these deals, the agreement between both sides can finally become official.
