A last-minute change was made to the starting eleven for Lazio ahead of their matchup against Inter Milan.
Ștefan Radu was pegged by many to start this important fixture for the Biancocelesti as a win puts them inside Serie A’s top three.
However, during pre-match wamrups, Radu left the pitch and headed to the stands. As a result, Wesley Hoedt warmed up with the starters and is now starting for Lazio at the San Siro per La Lazio Siamo Noi.
There’s no further update as to why Radu left the pitch and went into the stands. The 34-year-old will be examined further after the fixture to diagnose what’s wrong with Radu.
Lazio’s fixture against Inter Milan is one of two significant matches for the Biancocelesti these next two weeks as next week. Lazio will open up their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup against FC Bayern Munich and have their fingers crossed to have Radu for that first leg fixture.
