Formello: Lazio’s Muriqi & Pereira Score Braces in Friendly Against Primavera Side

Lazio’s Vedat Muriqi and Andreas Pereira scored braces in the Biancocelesti’s full pitch friendly against their Primavera squad today at Formello, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how coach Simone Inzaghi only used first team players who did not feature in the 3-1 loss to Inter yesterday, or who only came on in the second half.

The friendly ended 5-1, with braces from Muriqi and Pereira and a goal from Nicolò Armini. Leonardo Menichini’s side, who will face SPAL this week, received their goal from Ètienne Tare, son of sporting director Igli.

Gonzalo Escalante, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro and Felipe Caicedo were all exempt from the match, with training set to resume tomorrow afternoon.

Goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha is expected to return to the squad this week, having returned from Germany on Friday evening where he received knee treatment.

Defender Stefan Radu will be assessed after suffering a muscle problem in the warm-up of yesterday’s defeat.
