Lazio Defender Radu Fighting to Be Fit in Time for UCL Clash Against Bayern Munich

Lazio defender Stefan Radu is fighting to be fit in time for the Biancocelesti’s upcoming Champions League Round of 16 clash against Bayern Munich next week, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 34-year-old Romanian defender, who is contracted to the Roman club until the end of the season, suffered a muscle issue before Lazio’s 3-1 loss to Inter last week, forcing him to miss the match.

Radu’s condition is being monitored on a daily basis and he will undergo a round of instrumental tests to try and recover for next week’s fixture.

The Roman club will face Bayern next week on Tuesday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and the 34-year-old Radu will be needed by coach Inzaghi for the incredibly tough match.

He is likely to miss this weekend’s match against Sampdoria, problematic considering Wesley Hoedt’s suspension has left Inzaghi with limited options in the department.
