Lazio’s Lazzari Will Miss Serie A Clash Against Sampdoria Due to Suspension

Lazio wing back Manuel Lazzari will miss the Biancocelesti’s upcoming league clash against Sampdoria this weekend due to a blasphemous expression uttered during the 3-1 loss to Inter last weekend, as reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how video footage captured the 27-year-old Italian’s frustration and subsequent comments in the 52nd minute of the game.

Considering that his statement was clearly filmed uttering the phrase, which was audible without any margin of reasonable doubt, he will be sanctioned for the phrase.

Lazzari is now suspended from the match and so his next appearance is likely to be against German giants Bayern Munich in next week’s first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

The 27-year-old former SPAL man has made 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1910 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists.
