Lazio had plenty of momentum coming into its Serie A fixture against Inter Milan. Still, the Biancocelesti could not put together a complete performance against Inter as the now league-leaders finished with a 3-1 win.

Former Italian manager Delio Rossi watched his former club’s fixture against Inter. Rossi notes that the scoreline was not much indicative of the way that Lazio performed in the match. Still, there are a few takeaways from the match that he took note of (via Cittaceleste).

I saw the match. Lazio didn’t do badly, it was the episodes that channeled the game. I don’t think it was in Lazio’s will to press so high.

If Lazio had taken the lead, we would have seen a different game.

With the defeat, Lazio dropped to seventh place in the league standings. It is not an ideal place to be at this point in the season, but there is plenty of time for Lazio to turn the tide and open up another lengthy winning streak.
