Lazio Midfielder Parolo: “To Score a Poker Against Pescara Was a Source of Pride”

Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo remembered his four goals in a 6-2 win over Pescara in 2017 in an interview with Italian magazine Lazio Style Magazine (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

It was a lucky game… The ball was always at my feet ready to be shot. Peruzzi predicted one of my goals before the match, I had been close to it for a while.

To score four was a source of pride for me and a record I’m holding on to.

The 36-year-old Italian touched on if it was a legendary day for him.

I started thinking about it in the first half after the second goal. I thought I could have scored a hat-trick, but instead I got a poker.

To bring home the ball and the shirt is a thrill, to have done it after four goals even more so. I still have everything from that game. Ball, shirt, shorts and socks.
