Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic may start for the first time in over 12 months in this weekend’s match against Sampdoria, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how Italian wing back Manuel Lazzari has been suspended for this weekend’s match against the Ligurian side after uttering a blasphemous phrase in the 3-1 loss to Inter last weekend, forcing coach Simone Inzaghi to shake up the wing back roles a little.

Adam Marusic will return to the right side of the pitch, leaving a gap in the left wing back spot, the report continues.

Either Lulic or Mohamed Fares will start there, although the Algerian did not particularly convince in the first half of the season, despite regular playing time.

The 35-year-old Bosnian could finally earn his first start in over a year this weekend then. His last start came against Hellas Verona on the 5th February 2020.
